โ€˜Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your lifeโ€™.

India’s employability crisis is all the more serious because the majority of Indian population is young. Increasing number of jobless youths is a big challenge India faces. It is more prevalent in the management sector. There is a glut of real MBAs in India. In a hard hitting report published in the Economic Times, it was revealed that a mere 10 percent of B-school graduates are actually employable. According to the report, India produces about three lakh management graduates annually, but hardly 35,000 of them are employable. A study made by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) indicates that in the year 2016-17, more than half of MBA graduates could not get hired in campus placements. Excluding graduates from top 20 colleges, only 7 percent of MBA students from Indian business schools got jobs immediately after the completion of the course, an ASSOCHAM report said last year.

Getting just educated wonโ€™t help the students to be employed. Companies both Indian as well as Multinationals are aiming to acquire talents with an overall performance along with an academic excellence. There lies the importance of Placement Cell and the training provided through it, to help the students to be placed in reputed companies. In order to fulfil the requirement of job opportunities, Leaders College โ€“ School of Business Studies hold a separate Corporate Placements & Industry Relations Department under the stewardship of our Dean, Dr. K.P Najeemudeen. The Placement Cell operates round the year to facilitate contacts between reputed companies and providing internship opportunities to the students.  We also conduct guest lectures, panel discussions and talk shows by industry experts for equipping our students with the first-hand knowledge of the corporate world and grooming them for the corporate life they aspire to reach. We also conduct mock interviews, counselling sessions and personality development programmes for our students which will help them to face interviews confidently. โ€œFar and away the best prize that life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doingโ€. We believe in this and thus strive our level best to attain the best prize that life offers to the students.
